RSS Fetcher Posted November 10, 2018 Share Posted November 10, 2018 my great grandfarther was 19 when he joined the 1st battalion black watch 1916 he served at ypers hindenburg line and at the somme gased once survived it but to learn 4 days later the regiment sent over the top fixed bayonets half was decimated in 3 minutes by jerry machine gun dugouts my grandfarther died when i was 5 years old but im so proud of what he did his freinds the regiment and all allied forces first and second world war and now my son serves in 1st mercian armoured divison im so proud of him and his regiment todays youth have to REMBER THEY DIED FOR US AND KEPT US FREE.
