dibber25
Does anyone have a record of the train make-up for the 'Great Western' high-speed special on May 9 1964? It was 7 coaches giving a total of 340 seats and it was all open stock - meals at every seat. The formation was (I think) BSO - 2 x TSO - ?restaurant car? - 2 x TSO - BSO. I can't trace what type of restaurant vehicle was used, nor the numbers of any of the stock. Just a feint hope that someone wrote it down. dibber25
I've done some more research. All I really need now is a picture or two of a Mk1 RK kitchen car. The WR had two W80007/8 and it must have been one of these two. I can see enough from movie footage to recognise that this is going to be a tricky one - almost all the windows appear to be non-standard! So conversion is likely to be impossible.
