johnofwessex
In 'The Maritime Activities of the S&D' by Chris Handley there is a mention of Southern Railway ships operating on the Bristol Channel in WW2, & coming into Highbridge. Obviously the Southern had their Cross Channel & Isle of Wight fleets but I wasnt aware of any small cargo ships of the sort that could use somewhere like Highbridge. Does anyone know anything about them?
