gordon s
Any idea where I can source some more of these station valances? They are etched brass and are 12mm deep and in strips 100mm long. They are on some of the late Allan Downes buildings and I would like to build a new station canopy to match the existing. Looking at old threads I saw Muswell Models and Scalelink listed. The website for Muswell has gone and the Scalelink one is poorly organised and even their search function doesn't help. They may well still be there, but I'm unable to find them. Grateful for any clues you can provide as to their source.

RMweb Gold Joseph_Pestell Posted March 7, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 7, 2019 (edited) Allan used a lot of ScaleLink products. But I don't think the one illustrated is a ScaleLink product. York Modelmaking have quite a range of valances (plastic rather than etched brass). Edited March 7, 2019 by Joseph_Pestell
RMweb Gold Limpley Stoker Posted March 7, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 7, 2019 (edited) Try worsleyworks.co.uk Worsley works had brass etched LBSCR valences to order in their previous catalogue and also LBSCR column brackets. They offer to etch to your design and could probably do the artwork from your photo. Edited March 7, 2019 by Limpley Stoker 1
Campaman
https://www.scalelinkfretcetera.co.uk/?s=valance There are three types listed, not sure if they are what you are after
BernardTPM
I wonder if it might be from an older range, perhaps even George Alan (early 1970s).

I can’t see the pics so can’t comment if they are of the same outline, but it’s unlikely given the dimensions.
