Here's a quick tip if you want extra sticky but watery PVA:

 

1) Place said bottle of PVA glue in cupboard and forget about.

 

2) Rediscover some 5 years later (when looking for something entirely unrelated.)

 

3) Hey Presto!  Water-consistency super-sticky PVA solution!
