Old bridge under renovation

Not sure where to post this but I hope it's of interest to someone.

 

The old Cromford - High Peak bridge over the Goyt in Whaley Bridge has survived, probably because it makes a convenient footbridge. It's closed at the moment and being worked on, the obvious thing that needed doing was that the decking was rotting but it looks like they're doing more. Anyway the decking had been removed and I got there before the lot had been covered in plastic sheeting so it gives a view of how the track was arranged. I should've taken the photo the day before, there was less sheeting in the way and the walkway in the middle hadn't appeared.
