RMweb Premium alexross42 Posted June 10, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 10, 2019 (edited) Hi, I've been looking up information regarding non-AC Mk2 coaches that were painted in IC executive or swallow style livery after seeing some on this YT video as I'm looking in to getting a coach resprayed into this livery. I've included a screengrab of the vid below, for which i point all copyright/credit to the original video owner - please can someone provide any information about this coach in terms of its interior layout? Would it have been a BSO or a BSK? And is this a MK2C? Any better quality images or ideas on numbering too would be very welcome! Many thanks, Ross. Phil R
Hi Ross Looks like a Mk2c BSO to me. Sure someone will be able to corroborate this (or not) shortly. Regards Phil 2
RMweb Premium keefer Posted June 10, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 10, 2019 Looks like a Mk2c BSO number would be from 9439-9478 depending on allocation etc 1
BernardTPM
Yes, built in 1970. All the BSOs (and FOs) had the non-vent toilet windows, but the other Mk.2c designs (FK, BFK and TSO) all had early and late variants, the early ones having the old-style toilet windows and rather chunkier roof vents, the later ones like this BSO.
Flood
I don't have a pocket book for 1990 but in 1992 Mk2c BSO 9465 was stated as being in InterCity (it was the only one but there had been a number withdrawn). Looking at the video it could well be this vehicle, what is evident is that the number appears to be prefixed IC. 1

Bill Radford
According to the 1990 book the only IC Mark 2c was 9459 - this is also the only one allocated to Western Region. 1 1
