Good tip on using Airfix diesel bogie wheels on the power bogie.  The Airfix 31 has metal tyre wheels on the trailing bogie and plastic wheels with traction tyres on the power bogie.  If you do this shimming the axle gear to get just a few thou sideplay in the chassis improves the running and pickup as otherwise the bogie moves  to the left in one direction in relation to the track centre line and the right in the other direction.  Shims behind the wheels are more awkward to fit as you only get  one shot without pressing the wheels back off again.

Certainly is Rob. I remember seeing it in action at a St Luke's show a few years ago.
