Weathering Competition

The Great Electric Train Show is on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th of next month at the Marshall Arena, Stadium MK, Milton Keynes. Why am I telling you that? There will be a weathering competition taking place during the show, that's why.

 

You will be able to weather an Accurascale wagon and enter it into the competition to win a three-pack of Accurascale wagons. The judging will be done by Mike Wild of Hornby Magazine and Fran Burke of Accurascale, and there may well be some other prizes, too.

 

Come to the weathering demonstration table to see the rules, choose your wagon and have a go. You might even pick up some tips (or be able to give some).

I'm pleased to report that we were able to present three prizes for this competition, so thanks are due to all those who took part, and congratulations to the winners.

 

First prize was an Accurascale pack of 3 HUO hoppers.

Second Prize was a year's subscription to Hornby Magazine.

Third prize was a pack of AMMO by MIG weathering materials as used in the competition.

 

It is planned to repeat the competition at next year's Great Electric Train Show on 10th/11th October 2020.
