Not often you see pictures of Yankee Tanks actually in service, rather than stored, while in WD ownership. Probably a capital offence to point a camera at one! Looks to me as if it US couplers, and no buffers, at the smoke-box end, which is odd, because USATC wagons for Europe (I thought) had screw-links and buffers. Possibly it has buffers at the bunker end, one of the guys might be balancing on one. maybe it was rushed into service to work initially only one way round.
