However some of this is due to the closure of the on site farm that was an added attraction especially for school visits. Loss of 'New Deal' funding means that they cannot afford for this to continue. It is difficult to underestimate the value of additional attractions like the farm in keeping visitors on site. However obviously the MRC have got to protect the core buisinesss of the railway. With the very small amount of money coming in being spent on Syston station, Caprotti tyres, coach maintenance, water and electric, coal, diesel, oil, having to endlessly put back what the [edit - people] are knicking from us and the paid office and workshop staff, there is nothing left to cover half of the above outgoings, never mind the farm. On the plus side, the phone hasn't stopped ringing with people happy to take animals off us. The Llama's seem to be quite popular.
