125_driver
I have recently fitted the above decoder to a Hornby loco but since doing so the lcocomtives top speed has been halved to I'd say about a scale 60mph ish maximum. I haven't had a problem with Hornby HST or 47s that are ttssound fitted which hasn't much altered the speed. Can anyone suggest is this is the norm or do I likely have a rogue decoder. Would any alternative makes run better and faster?? Thanks.
JJGraphics
The first thing to do might be to get in touch with Howes and explain the problem. John

CV5 controls top speed, read it back and see what it is currently and then increase it and see if it improves. I think the maximum is 256 Richard Top man!! This did the trick. Was set at 142, upped it to 255 and much better top speed now. Thanks very much :-)
