w124bob
I am assuming that the as built colour was white( BR roll bearing version as per current Hornby) but when did the pale blue livery appear? Was the pale blue to signify a particular traffic flow , I'm looking for fish traffic info out of Mallaig circa mid to late 1960's.
BernardTPM
The Ice Blue came in with the revised Railfreight style about the beginning of 1963, being shown in the Apil 1963 issue of Modern Railways. Other elements were the square 'data panel' style boxes (as perpetuated under TOPS in later years) and the Railfreight box arrow logo with 'Rail freight' in 'Transport' typeface and the yellow for collection and delivery road vehicles. 2
