RMweb Premium Jim T Posted May 19, 2010 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 19, 2010 Hi there Does anyone know why we were diverted out past the delights of Bushbury and Bescot this morning on the 0735 Telford to Brum train (this is a LM stopping train, but runs fast from Wolves). Was there a problem down Sandwell or Tipton way? Shocking the state of Bescot depot now - totally deserted apart from the scrap line and an EWS shed at the Tame Bridge end of the yard. DavidBelcher
Might just be a standard diversion to keep traincrews' route knowledge fresh in the event of Sunday engineering work etc. - early morning/late night services are often used as such. Either that or there was some sort of bottleneck on the way into New St.; not unknown for diversions via Bescot to occur as a result, either through Duddeston or along the Soho Loop. StaffsOatcake
Cable theft at Coseley/ Tipton was the reason for the diverts. They hit Bushbury junction also
