dagrizz
Clue, there are regular passenger services on this line. All the westbound ones go to the seaside.
dagrizz
Of the eastbound services, some go to a small town, but others go to a well known cathedral city which has significant railway associations.

dagrizz
Perhaps yes. But I'm afraid I'm looking at your latest offering with a deal of suspicion. I still recall the pipeline teaser north-east of Wick where I would not think of looking for a railway.
pH
No, it's not a trick one. The diagonal path was a standard gauge line owned by British Railways.
dagrizz
Yes I've got it. It's between Aberfoyle and Flanders Moss, not far from the only lake in Scotland, Lake Mentieth Just looking at the map, its near some homesteads ending with 'offerance'. These were the basis, in location, for the Ian Banks book 'Whit', which I can recommend - its a scream.
