stveng
Hello all, so, some time ago I bought an almost complete LNER Coronation set, in oo gauge, I think it's Ian Kirk or mailcoach. Beautiful model, but it's missing one key part, basically one of the articulated bogies has gone astray, it was missing when I bought it. At the time I thought I could simply replace it with a Hornby or Bachmann replacement. My questions comes in many parts I guess: 1. are the articulated bogies the same length as standard bogies (i.e. 8'6" centres) or were they longer? 2. if the answer to 1 is "the same length", can I use Hornby Gresley or Bachmann Thompson bogies? I've also seem isinglass do (or did) a 3D printed articulated set, so I could probably see if I cna source a spare from them Thanks in advance for all or any help. Keep modelling! 34theletterbetweenB&D
The articulation bogies were a special 10' wb. for this stock. (Probably also on the Silver Bullet, but I am at a distance from my books.) I award you permission to use the 8'6" type, unless your modelling standards demand prototype conformance!
