Replacing the mains lead on a Morley controller

Very useful, but I think they have a five year guarantee so I wouldn't go opening one up before the guarantee expires, though as it costs around a tenner in postage to return one.   Interesting to see they use two transformers, unlike Diettes and unlike an OnTrack I had apart which only use one transformer with two  (or more) sets of windings.

Hi David

Glad it's helpful. Yes the two transformers is another thing that sets the Morley apart, this means adjusting the speed of one track has no effect on the other.

I have noticed even with my Gaugemaster D that starting a train on one channel causes the running one to slightly slow.

I agree they best plan is to send back, I already heard from one of my viewers who had the same issue that the controller came back with British cable fitted.
