LLT
Hello, This is the smallest shunting layout I have ever built (60 cm x 9.5 cm). Not a lot of potential for shunting operations but it's not the goal. I added a little fiddle yard (40 cm). I used very old Fleischmann track and points. Due to the lack of room, I can't add another point. In fact, this layout under construction is only a test to know if I am able to build a micro shunting layout. I'm very pleased with the result so far. Thanks for watching. And more important: Have fun ! Edited August 29, 2020 by LLT

LLT
Thanks for the "Like" folks. Really appreciated. I used old Fleischmann points because the Peco points are too big for this layout. 1

LLT
I can also build a "double" shunting layout. I have enough points, track and wood to build it (total length: 4').

You could a point to shunt the van into a siding. You could then have some fun shunting a loaded van out of the siding and an empty in, then form the train to depart.
