Wanted: (FOUND) Hornby/Dublo Solid Wheelsets

I'm looking for some more realistic wheels for this Hornby Dublo SR Utility van. Solid wheels with non-pinpoint axles to fit the HD chassis.

 

Does anyone have a set they are happy to part with before I have to buy a pack of 8 sets off ebay?

You might struggle to find a decent wheel set to fit as most have smaller dia axles than the wrenn ones illustrated.  I take romford top hat pinpoint bearings and file off the point so they fit just about flush in the axle hanger and fit HO axles with pin point ends.   HO axles are a couple of mm shorter than OO, I started doing it using lima wheels to get low friction power pick up for coach lighting and improved running.   You will need to bend or file away the brake shoes to stop them shorting out if using larger diameter wheels which will raise the ride height and cause a heap of other problems.
