Warning about pre-ordered items & postage

I recently pre-ordered 2 coaches, priced at £34.99 each. The total of £69.98 thus exceeded Hornby's offer of 'free' postage. What I didn't realise at the time, and it only came to light now the goods have arrived and I've been invoiced for the payment, was that Hornby had generated 2 orders, for £34.99 each - thus £4.97 postage was added to each.

 

However a quick phone call to the Customer Services team and a nice lady promptly refunded he postage costs.
