Jamie
With a pair of BR standard pacifics in stock, I'm looking at getting the bits to regauge them to EM. Can anyone advise as to the prototype diameter and style (spokes etc) of the non-powered wheels: leading bogie, trailing bogie, tender please, for both 6MT "Clan" and 7MT "Brittania" classes? I don't yet have an extensive enough library to call on. Thanks in advance, Jamie.
Guest stuartp
According to Mr Sharman ("Wheel Specifications For The Modeller"): Bogie - 3'0" 9 spoke, Gibson code G48365T Pony truck and tender - both 3'3.5" 10 spoke, Gibson code G48395T Tender - 3'3.5" 10 spoke. All bevelled rims. The catalogue is sitting here to remind me to order a load of Black 5 and Crab bogie/pony truck wheels !
Jamie
Marvellous Stuart, thanks! As you can probably infer, I've bowed to peer pressure with folks perennially asking if I'd bought myself a Clan yet.
