rob D2
Hi all, I notice there are two versions of the modern tail lamp - mk2 and 3. Mk3 seems to be the one with the reflective patch as well, anybody knows when the mk3 took over or is there a mix still ? For my modern stuff I aim at 96 and 2000- 2006 , I assume both were around in the later period and just mk2 in former ? finally, I’m aware modelu do one ( albeit top of the range ), but does anyone else as I may need bulk ? best regards
cypherman
Hi Rob, Springside Models do modern tail lights. I believe they do both versions in 00. There reference No for them is DA99/10.
Rods_of_Revolution
As you say, for the first period you'd have the Mk2. The Mk3 was introduced in 2001. From 2001 Mk2 tail lamps were still used, but they were retrofitted with reflective patches like the Mk3 had, as this was what the standard at the time (and now) required. That's not to say every Mk2 got reflective patches, or that they didn't come off in service. In fact, I've even seen photos of Mk3 tail lamps with the patches missing, so they do peel off, probably with some assistance from bored ground staff. Cheers, Jack 1
