Robed
Does anyone know how to instal an axle into an exactoscale gearbox I assume you have to loctite it in but how do you achieve this when the gearbox is between the frames I am only used to having to grub screw the gear on to the axle Edited May 18, 2021 by Robed Spelling
Miss Prism
What type/generation of Exactoscale gearbox?
Robed
40:1 gearbox which I believe to be the later version as it does not require any soldering as it screws together. it appears to me that I will have to drop the gearbox between the frames and split it ,then push the axle through and carefully (very) loctite the axle to the gear wheel although I don,t know if there will be any space to join the two halves together
Grovenor
You are supposed to use axleboxes and frame cutouts so that the box and wheelset can be assembled before fitting in the frame.
