40 North Star
As you can tell by my profile name, I rather like Churchward’s prototype Star, No. 40. I like the straight frames, the non-standardness and the overall look. For this reason I foolishly endeavoured to make my own out of an old Airfix Castle, in the style of Stefan’s. I took the body off the chassis so I could chop it up. I removed the front buffer-beam because it was broken -- I will be making a new straight-drop one out of styrene once I have some. I also yanked out the handrails for re-use. Currently in the post is a second-hand 28xx body shell which I will use to replace the boiler. See you all when that arrives... 40 North Star
Sorry for my month-long absence, I went off modelling for a while. Anyway, I have finished the bodies, but still need to buy some stuff to put them back together. Now onto the chassis...
40 North Star
Absent again! Things needed buying and school got in the way too. Oh well, they’re here now. Time for trailing wheels!
40 North Star
This project is being put on hold because I’m not sure my skills are up to it! I will likely come back to it when I’ve improved. Alf 1
