I'm thinking of a layout height of 130 cm/51". It will be 18" deep. My question is what sort of distance do people leave between the top of the layout and the bottom of the facia of the shadow box? 298 Posted June 30, 2021 Share Posted June 30, 2021 (edited) I think the Tim Horn baseboard standard is around 10". Closer makes the lighting seem brighter, further away give more room for manual uncoupling, fiddling with Trolley poles, etc. I've not seen Robatron's layout but it is set under a freeway, so the gap is alot lower. doctor quinn Posted June 30, 2021 Share Posted June 30, 2021 (edited) I set the one on Industrivej at 20cm which I find comfortable to operate.
