GaugeMaster DCC22 Decoder

Hi guys,

 

Out of all my stock, I have two of these chips and both are acting the same way. When I increase or decrease the controller it takes ages to respond - something like twice round the circuit (20m or so).

 

So far I have carried out the following changes to try and get this sorted:

 

1. Reset the decoder and started again.

2. Changed the speed steps to 128.

3. CV3 (acceleration) checked it to 0

4. CV4 (deceleration) also chcked this was 0

 

But still it takes ages to speed up / slow down.

 

Any suggestions, are obviously welcome.

I should have added that they are in a Hornby "King" and a New GWR Parcels Railcar. - Not that I think it is really that relevant. - Thanks,

 

Having taken the Railcar apart tonight, I found the decoder is actually a Hornby R8249 - apologies to Gaugemaster

Out of curiosity, which DCC system are you using?
