RMweb Premium Flying Pig Posted June 12, 2010 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 12, 2010 On Saturday 12th June, 55022 hauled an epic tour from Preston to Oxford via Doncaster and Kings Cross (route and timings here). I see one of the participants has already posted some photos in the Gallery, including a couple in the loco's natural habitat of Kings Cross. Mine were all taken in Oxford. Approaching Oxford 13.27, just north of Hinksey Yard Weaving to the loop to allow an up service train to pass. I believe the railtour then ran into the up platform: it certainly stabled in the up carriage sidings. The driver awaiting right away before southward departure. Departing over the Botley Road 15.27 about 5 mins late (delayed leaving the sidings by the preceding Cross-Country service). Trainsrgr8 Posted June 13, 2010 Share Posted June 13, 2010 If you mean when it got to leeds on the return journey i think it was because of a track circuit failure, the train had to be diverted so the 57 took charge.... could be wrong though!
