muddy water Posted November 18, 2021 Share Posted November 18, 2021 Looking to make some of these platform containers. I have found out they are 20’ long by 8’ wide at the extreme point. Anybody know the height of the girder frame? I could not measure them as the train was doing 60mph! This link might be of some use in giving you an idea of the 'preferred sizes' that are available:- https://britishsteel.co.uk/media/40495/british-steel-sections-datasheets.pdf I don't know how helpful they'd be, but you could try contacting British Steel in Scunthorpe.
