Model Railway Items Stolen

Sometime between last Sunday night and Monday morning ‘Buffer Stop’, the sales coach run by the 47 401 Project at Swanwick Platform was broken into and raided. A substantial amount of stock was stolen including new and second hand model locomotives, coaches and wagons. I’d ask everyone and particularly those of you associated with our model railway groups on site to look out for any suspicious sales activity relating to the items taken. These items are listed below together with a contact number for the Police, alternatively please get in touch with any of our team direct.

 

 

 

The 47401 Project doesn’t charge the MRB for the use of its locomotive so the only way we can pay our rent and expenses is through our sales activities. Needless to say this has hit us particularly badly so any help to track down the thieves and recover the stock would be gratefully appreciated.

Note, models all had yellow price stickers with prices written in biro, when prices are removed usually a white residue of glue is left on the box often difficult to remove.

Selection of coaches (total quantity 40 to 50) by Hornby and Bachmann price range £18 to £30, various liveries blue/grey, maroon, crimson/cream and green Hornby Maunsell coaches, Bachmann Mark 1s.

 

Selection secondhand locomotives (10+) by Lima and Hornby mostly priced £25 to £30. eg. Lima 26001, Hornby 56 etc.

 

Several Bachmann wagons including intermodal container wagons.
