RMweb Premium Dava Posted March 20, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 20, 2022 Does anyone have a copy of this old book dating from 1950? Last published by MAP 1977. My interest is which locos were included, and do they include an LNWR Webb ‘Chopper’ 2-4-0T? He made several drawings of this type of loco so I m wondering if it’s included in the book. The LNWR Society archive lists them. Thanks for any information, David
Sabato
"Chopper" - No, 'fraid not. LNWR locos that are included - "Precedents and their pilots" and "Three and four cylinder compounds". All bigger stuff than the little tank.

Nick Holliday
There’s an article by Robin Whittle in the much-missed RailModel Digest, Issue 3, which describes his efforts making the last survivor, 58092, from the London Road Models kit. He discusses the differences between the various drawings in Talbot, and includes a 4mm drawing by Mike Peascod of a chopper in its final condition.
