cornish trains jez
Morning all, Does anyone know which fonts the SBB and BLS use for their numbering and letter for the logos? I'm thinking about making up some transfers to renumber a couple of locos. I have all the paint RAL numbers already but wasn't sure on fonts. many thanks in advance. Cheers, Jeremy
RMweb Premium JimFin Posted June 8, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 8, 2022 SBB use their own custom font - lots of details here - https://brand.sbb.ch/d/k7TF5BpX3B3F/markenelemente#/markenelemente/typographie-1 Cannot help with BLS I am afraid. 1
Gordonwis
I have used Helvetica in the past - SBB custom font is in fact a (very?) minor variant of Helvetica It is hardly surprising that Swiss railway fonts are derived closely from a font of Swiss invention...

Cheers, Jeremy It would be interesting to know how you get on Jeremy. I had the same question and want to get around to re-doing the SBB CFF on this loco. Haven't braved it yet, but think it's going to be the only option, can't see anyone who sells them commercially (although the link above might be useful for another project if it ever gets started 😅). I've never printed my own before, but it seems possible from the information online (dangerous sentence I know 🙂). All the best, Dave

All the best, Dave Hi Dave, I'm thinking about adding an extra Re485 to my fleet and the only way to do this is to renumber another model. I've got some ideas on how to do this and will report back once I have experimented. Best regards, Jeremy
