hmrspaul
In the past some of you have enjoyed, and favourably reported on the small, friendly exhibition we have had in York for the past decade. After the problems of the Covid period we are back and still supporting York Against Cancer. Temporarily we have moved to a summer exhibition 2 & 3 July 2022, but the venue and other features remain the same. Held at Heworth Church Hall, Melrosegate, Heworth, York, North Yorkshire YO31 0RL Adults £4.00 Concessions £4.00 Children £1.00 Sponsored by Monk Bar Models (but note they are not having a sales stand this year https://www.monkbarmodelshop.co.uk) Layouts Loggerheads - O Gauge [This should have been the first appearance of this new layout, but as an emergency call up it appeared at Doncaster in February] Hudson Street - EM Gauge County End - OO Gauge Trams Fencehouses - 2mm Finescale Distillery Yard - OO Gauge Westerham - OO Gauge Low Fell - N Gauge Sandy Bay - N Gauge Demonstrations Bob Dawson and Scott Waterfield - Buildings and Scenery Suzie Batters - Trees and Scenery Derwent Valley Railway Preservation Group Hopgrove Project - Part of Our New 4mm Layout Under Construction Traders George Morton Books Egrm Club Second Hand Shop - Last but far from least. Our resident shopkeeper has accumulated large stocks of nearly new 4mm models. And there is also a small number of well finished 7mm wagon kits. Payment using card will be acceptable for the first time - we are slowly moving into the 21st Century, but retaining the very best features of small local shows of the 20th C. AND OF COURSE Refreshments by York Against Cancer and a Tombola shared with them. https://www.yorkagainstcancer.org.uk/ Paul Bartlett - Come and talk wagons, and also what the Ebor Group has to offer with layouts in N (being built), OO (built and being built), P4 (built), O (built but to be developed) http://yorkeborgroup.simdif.com/ Edited June 25, 2022 by hmrspaul Correction 4
hmrspaul
Preparations well underway this evening. The shop has a considerable amount of 2nd hand stock. One member moving to 7mm is selling a vast amount of 4mm, especially carriages and a number of those SR EMU sets. Also good selection of 7mm, a few locos and some nicely finished less than common kits. But, plenty of other much less well presented and much cheaper goodies. Layouts all looking good. Photos of some of the developments. https://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/eborexhibition2022 includes a view of the programme - free with on entry. Come and enjoy with us.
