Loss of sound on new Zimo MS decoders

Hi guys, any suggestions gratefully received before I send the decoders back.

 

I have 5 new Zimo MS brand decoders - 3 are installed in locos and are working fine.

 

2 ( 1x MS450R & 1 x MS440D) operate the loco, but after a CV8,8 reset only provide the basic Zimo sounds under F8. I have put the MS450R into a different loco and its still the same (The other is a 21 pin decoder and I don't have another 21 pin to hand.)

 

When initially installed I had (YouChoos) sounds on both locos, but they wouldn't move forward / reverse.

 

Now after a CV8,8 on Johns suggestion at YouChoos, they more forward/reverse but have become disconnected to the YouChoos sound files.

 

(I have tried programming / reset through my Gaugemaster Prodigy and also Decoder pro)

 

I am going to email John at YouChoos overnight, but hoping someone on the RMWeb community might know the answer first!
