RMweb Gold PjKing1 Posted July 4, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 4, 2022 Hi, I’ve recently very easily fitted a couple of Train-O-Matic stay alive’s to Legomanbiffo v5 decoders, but how easy is it to fit a stay alive to the new Plux22 sound decoders that are in the new Bachmann class 47’s? And where would the stay alive connect to? Thanks in advance Paul
Nigelcliffe
Two options - if fitting a two-wire stay-alive with its own charge/discharge circuitry, then the decoder positive and decoder ground are on the PLUX socket, so you can fit it to the loco-side of things. If fitting a three-wire stay-alive, then read the ESU manual. It details how to attach to the decoder. I think it should present the capacitor control wire to the PLUX socket, but that detail is far from obvious. - Nigel Edited July 4, 2022 by Nigelcliffe
