Hi,

I would be grateful if anybody can point me in the direction of any drawings for these locomotives.

I would like to make a model in 4mm scale - using 12mm track.

I have Gordon Gravett's book which does have a drawing, albeit smaller than my possible model, which makes it slightly tricky scale from.

Any help or tips would be appreciated.

Has anybody out there tried building one in 00n3?

Thanks

Yes, PM will follow with a request.

I am though curious.  Any particular reason for going for 00n3 rather than H0m?*

Is this a one off project or part of a wider interest in French metre gauge.

I ask because a range of other rolling stock is available in H0m and, unless you're going for complete scratch building throughout, a lot of things you might need are available in H0m. For example - Architecture & Passion produce laser cut kits for a range of RB buildings including five specific station buildings of different sizes (RB stations were fairly standardised and these cover the main classes including the small one Gordon Gravett built for Pempoul)

*12mm gauge scales out to 1044mm in H0 scale but 918mm in 00n3  so H0m is much closer to scale for metre gauge track.

Looking at your other posts I now see that you're planning a 00n3 Irish layout so assume that one of the Piguet Mallets has somehow found its way there having been re-gauged - or possibly ordered fpr three foot gauge by the Irish Free State no longer bound by a "buy British" policy!
