P.C.M
Hi all, Looking for info on bogies that were under these coaches. My coaching stock book says they were on Commonwealth bogies with some in the 17xx range having B5. Is this correct as I haven't managed to find a pic showing an Inter city MK1 RBR with B5s. Many thanks Peter.
RMweb Premium keefer Posted August 23, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 23, 2022 (edited) What period are you after? P5 book 1986: Of 1644-1762, 1701-4/30-8 have B5. The other coaches are not specified but have a weight of 1-2t more, so will be CW. The only ones marked for Intercity livery are 1644/5/7,1652/9,1663/7,1675/9,1686,1692/3/6-9 (so no Intercity ones with B5). P5 book 1988: Some more coaches have gained Intercity livery but none of the B5 fitted ones (still listed as 1701-4/30-8) As an aside, the 19xx RBR (ex-RU) are 1923-84 (not all coaches exist) of which: 1923/4 & 1944-56 have B4 (saloon)/B5 (kitchen end) 1959-1984 have CW. Two Intercity livery ones (1923/66) in 1986 but by 1988 there are 1923/48/59/66/69/71/73/81 Edited August 23, 2022 by keefer
P.C.M
Thanks Keefer, I model 1986 7. I thought putting b5s under an inter city RBR might make a change from my other one with the commonwealth bogies but if it didn't happen then no worries saves me some work. Cheers Peter.
