RC Spud type mech.

For my current layout build I have been building various RC things, several Faller Car System type vehicles have been equipped, buses, trolleybuses etc, I also wanted to bring the trams under the same control so have come up with a 34mm w/b SPUD type mech for them.

It's basically a Tramfabriek 1020d motor driving through Tenshodo gears, the motor is offset to all the Deltang Rx41d-v5 receiver to sit alongside in a small pocket.

It's 18.2mm gauge, yeah I'm probably the only EM tram modeller using a dead rail system!!

Battery will live in a box above with charging socket, switch etc.

A test gave 4 hours plus running on the 100mah lipo, so overall it's so far so good.

Very much a learning curve for me this so I'm pretty happy that all seems well.
