Garethp8873
A few weeks back on Facebook, I asked if the Hornby model B12/3 R3544 8527 was a suitable candidate to replicate the LNER B12/3 8516 in her WW2 NE livery as per the photo on P.16 of Yeadon Vol.7. Following their replies, I've did further checking and I found that I will need more photos of 8516 or go for the BR version of the Hornby LNER B12. By 1948, she had had the four plugs on the firebox replaced with handholes. Unfortunately the Yeadon photo doesn't show whether they had been replaced by 1945 or earlier. Is there a way of finding out when this was done on 8516? ATB, Garethp8873.
Wickham Green too
A change like that would only have happened with a replacement boiler ..... did the loco have a major works visit between the photo and 1948 ? ( where are the record cards ? )

As to works visits, it says she visited Stratford works between 22/7 - 29/9/45.
