1165Valour
In looking at the railway map of Leeds, I've been somewhat confused by the existence of Leeds New (later City) station, and an idea has started to form in my mind. What if, instead of building Leeds New, the LNWR and NER had managed to get the GNR and L&Y to agree to rebuild Leeds Central, with a connection from the old NER terminus at Marsh Lane to the remodelled station? rovex
Two points spring to mind 1. The station wouldn't have been anywhere near big enough, and 2. What route would the connection have taken to get to it. Would this have involved an awkward reversing maneuver or a loop round?

The NER (ideally) would just extend their line from Marsh to enter the new Central station from the north.
