RMweb Gold unravelled Posted September 8, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 8, 2022 (edited) I am trying to accumulate the parts needed for my layout build, (Wylde, based on Thame).. My current search is for tablet pick up and set down apparatus. I will fall back on scratch building if necessary, but wondered whether there there was a model or kit I could look out for. Out of interest, when installations were changed from wood to steel posts, would all apparatus be changed at the same time, or would a mixture of wood and tubular posts be possible? Thanks Dave Edited September 8, 2022 by unravelled To improve title terminology to help searches, (I hope)
1466
I know Chris Leigh used to market a white metal kit and have an unreliable memory that Mopok also did one . 1
RMweb Premium Mike_Walker Posted September 8, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 8, 2022 A friend asked this only a few months ago. The GWR token apparatus can be purchased from those nice folks at Wizard https://www.wizardmodels.ltd/shop/signals/ls0017/ whilst ModelU provide the Tyers instrument https://www.modelu3d.co.uk/product/2803/
RMweb Gold unravelled Posted September 8, 2022 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted September 8, 2022 Thank you so much, that's ideal. It's the wooden post variety, which makes one decision for me. The only worry is how much more I'll spend at Wizard, on other signalling bits... I did do some searches, honest, but by using tablet, all I got was lots of links about using wireless devices on modern trains. Knowing the right words makes it so much easier. Thanks again Dave
