gsward
I have a glue that I am fast running out of and the supplier has long disappeared. So I am looking for an alternative. The product was called "GRAB" and supplied by M & R (Model Railways Ltd. It is described as: "The permanently tacky non-structural adhesive for all modellers" It was manufactured by Flexicote Ltd of Aldershot another company that appears to have disappeared. It is great for attaching scenic sheets, track beds and track as it always remains peelable. What alternatives do you use? Thanks.
RMweb Premium BR60103 Posted September 20, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 20, 2022 Probably not what you described. Accent Glue by Woodland Scenics. Similar to rubber cement. I use it on things like figures and loco lamps. When cured, the object will stick but it can be removed and placed elsewhere. It does lose its re-grip after a while. A bit expensive for large areas. RMweb Gold Geep7 Posted September 20, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 20, 2022 Woodland Scenic Foam Tack glue sounds similar to what you used to use...... It's very similar to Copydex, but without the drawback (the smell). I use it for gluing down foam trackbed, and you can use it to glue the track down, but you can still peel it back up..... RMweb Gold ianLMS Posted September 21, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 21, 2022 There seems to be plenty of "temporary adhesive" options designed to remain tacky ideal for stencils erc. Here is one option i found https://www.amazon.co.uk/Aleenes-Tack-Over-Fabric-Glue/dp/B00178QQ84/ref=asc_df_B00178QQ84/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=261960893912&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=2087086706777298648&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1006589&hvtargid=pla-351755655315&psc=1&th=1&psc=1 Ian
