It will be a surprise - even to me. All I have is the offer from the modellers involved There will be an Information stand - Societies can put their information/flyers/info on here. RMweb Gold Scottish Modeller Posted December 17, 2022 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted December 17, 2022 Well - our Skills day at Bathgate came and went! Thanks to everyone who took part - your support is really appreciated. To those of you who could not make it - you missed a good meet up of like minded modellers. Some of us did get some modelling done and we all did a lot of talking! My own personal feeling is that it was a partial success, but an event that can be repeated and improved in several ways. I know today was a bit of a mess about - several people who had offered to demo things could not attend - various reasons inc weather. I never managed to get myself set up to demo - too many other people wanted to talk to me. I did manage to get to sit down a couple of times, but did a heck of a lot of walking about! I know as my step count was 200% of daily target at 17,192 for the day! At my stride length that is 17192m! The concept of the skills day proved to be a successful format for both the group and the venue. The organisation of what's on at a skills day needs to be better. Demonstrations need to be available as planned and advised Event timing may need tweaked - Start earlier, finish earlier, finish later? With this all in mind...... We have provisionally booked another session for Saturday 14th January 2023. Thanks Phil H
