Blanking plug for a factory fitted DCC Terrier?

I've bought a second hand Terrier which has a dodgy DCC chip (vendor did say!). Initially I want to run it as an DC analogue loco. I'm guessing I need a blanking plug but these 18 pin sockets are new to me and they also look very small so cobbling one up myself - as I do with 8 pin chips - seems out of the question. No-one seems to sell these blanking plugs though. Any ideas?

I will ask on Dapol forum as well

It might be easier to unsolder the PCB and just solder the 2 feed wires to the 2 motor wires. You can always put the PCB back later if anyone starts selling the blanking plugs.
