Guest Jack Benson
In the ‘50s the only large vehicles that frequented small villages were buses or agricultural as most goods were brought in by rail. Except for one familiar visitor, the weekly dustbin lorry, in this case a Magirus Mercur müllwagen seen collecting rubbish in Hamburg. The model is a Brekina, which started life as the blue example at the below. No scene of dustbin collection would be complete without a few period dustbins, in this case from Kotol in Berlin.
