A couple of weeks ago I was on the last Class 56 railtour.  Throughout the journey, there were people with cameras on stations and some bridges had dozens shoulder-to-shoulder.  I have ridden on steam tours with fewer spectators.; the tour was sold out weeks in advance as well.
