hmrspaul
Now back to our time slot at the end of the local school half term. We pride ourselves on offering a small, intimate show, where we display layouts from the club, members and local friends. It is held in aid of York Against Cancer and is sponsored by Monk Bar Model shop. The charity supports the show by providing refreshments. 2mm Andy
Thought I would bump this thread as the exhibition is this coming weekend. I'm hoping to visit at some point (be rude not to as it's only a mile or so down the road). Andy
hmrspaul
Lots of preparations well underway. 12 page souvenir guideis free as part of the entrance fee The 2nd hand shop is bursting with goodies (and we accept card payment) Including many kits - some historical. We have had some interesting discussions remembering BSL, Ian Kirk etc. And a couple of layouts looking good Don't forget there is a list of layouts in the first post. York Against Cancer will be operating a cafe and will be sharing the Tombola which has lots of worthwhile prizes. See you tomorrow or Sunday as it is a full 2 day show. Respite
I went to the show today with my grandson. It was very good, hall packed with layouts rather than trade stands made a nice change. Well attended and good refreshments at very low prices. We were there 2 hours and saw layouts I hadn't seen before. 1
RMweb Premium RichardT Posted February 19, 2023 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 19, 2023 Popped in today. Excellent small show - exactly what you’d hope a traditional local “church hall” style model railway show should be. What with this, the return of the main York show at Easter, and the N Gauge Society event at the NRM in May, I’m feeling quite spoilt!
