MeirionGwril
What sound decoder would people suggest for a 4mm GWR Aberdare class loco? I can't find a dedicated decoder but I'm assuming there's something out there that would be close? Are there decoders for the 3300 or 4120 classes which I gather are similar? Thanks!😀

If there isn't a specific project then you're looking for close matches. The GWR mogul is also a 2 cylinder 2-6-0 but with outside cylinders. Alternatively you might try projects that represent 2 inside cylinder locos like Bulldogs, Cities or Pannier tanks.  Have a look here: https://www.youchoos.co.uk/Index-Shop.php?CAT=YCSounds&SNDGRP=GWR  Then choose a decoder that will suit your loco (in terms of physical size and the motor power required) to have the sound project loaded into.  Hope that helps.  P.S. There a subforum for DCC sound questions: https://www.rmweb.co.uk/forum/130-dcc-sound/  Edited February 17, 2023 by Harlequin
