NZRedBaron
Having been looking over the 'Pugbashing' thread, I've decided that I want to take a crack at it myself. Currently, I have two plans on my desk- one is to take an old 'Blue Riband' era Bachmann N-class, replace the cab with a different styled one, and repaint engine and tender into a new paint scheme. This will likely be my first 'bash', given that it's relatively more simple. The other is a full 'Pugbash'; convert a Hornby 'Pocket Rocket' into something close to a North London Railway inside-cylindered 4-4-0T tank engine. As best as I can tell, this will require an aforementioned 'pocket rocket', a Holden 101 bodyshell, and at least two Dapol/Kitmaster kits for parts- A 'Pug' and a 'City of Truro'.
NZRedBaron
Man alive, I've already hit a stumbling block with the N-class; I can't tell from the diagram if the cab is separately fitted or not, and I'm very reluctant to just break out the hacksaw without being absolutely certain.
