Peter Kazmierczak
Type 4s heading north after their weekend by the sea at Swanage. Note that the formation, livery-wise, are in chronological order... I was amazed there were no other enthusiasts at the station to see them pass. However, what my photo doesn't show are the dozen or so engineering staff from BM depot standing to my left, who just "happened" to take their break at the same time as the convoy appeared. Needless to say, the driver gave us a good toot on his horn. Edited May 16, 2023 by Peter Kazmierczak
RMweb Premium Mark Forrest Posted May 16, 2023 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 16, 2023 I saw the 40 and 45 on their way south last week, quite by chance I happened to be out walking the dogs when they passed.
Peter Kazmierczak
The 617 headcode was a tribute to the 617 "Dambusters" squadron, on the 80th anniversary of that historic raid.
