Remap Function F2

Hi ive just fitted a Bachmann 21 pin decoder to a new Hornby class 56

 

Currently F2 turns on the tail lights, but as im using a Prodigy controller F2 dosent latch so how do i remap it to F4?

 

Ive managed to do it on a factory fitted Dapol 73 with the imperium as the instructions with the loco told me how to remap from F2 to F4. Is it the same CVs on all decoders?

No it is not the same.   Though there are some commonalities over some decoder makers. 

 

Bachmann use a number of different decoders over the years.    So, which is the source supplier of the decoder ?

Its the blue one that came in a blister pack. Possibly esu made

You need to work out which model you have - there are multiple Bachmann decoders which are "blue".   The package should have a part number on it which will identify things. 

 

If nothing else to go on, read back CV8.  That's the manufacturer ID, which can be looked up and then work forwards from there.

Cheers in the end i swapped it out for a Dapol imperium which ive managed to to remap
